"Yeah" is usually how to spell the word. "Yea" is the old fashioned-sounding way to say "yes". Like when a legislature votes "yea or nay".

I learn "slang" from the internet and i've seen it written as "yea" a countless number of times over the internet; there's really no point on nitpicking on things like that (other than trying to show off your knowledge lol)
