Hey there,
So here it is. My super long animation in most of it's glory, kinda sorta. Let's do some background!
This was the second animation I ever started. Way back nearly 2 years ago, I download a little program called EasyToon (1.9.1!) and decided to play around with it. Over the course of the next 2 years (obviously with huge gaps in between, I'm slow but not that slow ;D) the 744 frame behemoth before you took shape. From it's humble beginnings when I was doing it all with a laptop trackball (seriously! a surprising amount of this was done exclusively with a trackball! How dumb was I to go so long before upgrading to a mouse!)This guy has grew with me as I went from someone who had never drawn (let alone animated) something to someone who is still crappy but can sometimes atleast make things move in a somewhat logically manner (but not really)! That's progress you can take to the bank!
What I guess I'm trying to say is the quality is all over the place on this one. There's some parts in the beginning which are just awful, a few towards the end I'm actually really proud of, and then the end which I totally lost steam (sorry bout that).
Another note, Easytoon totally crapped out on me when rendering this. You gotta believe me that the timing in the middle (where things suddenly grind to a crawl) is smooth when i preview it, but during the export all the timing goes wonky. I should be happy I got anything at all considering it crashes every time I export it :D
So yeah, there's alot more I want to do with it: do some color/shading (You can kinda see a color test in the title cards) lots of touch up, I really want to completely redo the initial back growth part (I was trying for something that just didn't work out, but got too lazy to redo it (of course thats a part where the timing is effed up so you can see every bad frame ><). But I've wanted to post this one for awhile just in case I got hit by bus or something so there was proof that I once spent a long time on something. That's kinda inspiring?
Anyway enough jibber-jabbering from me! Click to download and please enjoy!
Peace Out!
Oh and one more thing:
Digimon is copyright to Bandai/Toei - Yeah for copyrights!

That was actually pretty cool. Different, but definitely cool and creative too.
Always wanted to learn how to do stuff like this.
Maybe i'll try that program out over the summer or something.
Anyway, don't sell yourself short. If you could do all that with what looks like MS Paint (and frame by frame too!) just think of what you could do with flash or something.

Thanks :) Frame by frame actually helped me cover up some things, though the most important bandage was speed. I found that if I sped it up enough most of the glaring errors would disappear (Course that one works if it's exported correctly!).
I noticed there is a newer version of EasyToon with alot new features so maybe it's easier to use - if you're looking. Anyway good luck to the both of us :D.
