A more normal/dignified version of a pic of Big Jack Hawthorne that I really like. While even my most cringe art really isn't any worse than anything that could be seen on The Simpsons or Family Guy or something, I figured I'd make a more dignified version for use as a profile ID for my FurAffinity page, and I really like how this turned out as well.
It's also nice to have some art that I can show to normies.

As time goes on, I find myself identifying a bit more with Dominic "Big Jack" Hawthorne as a 'sona more than Dominic "Skunk Boy" Mephitto, but they are basically the same character separated by 10 years of growth, making him a character that carries a good bit of Dad Energy (or at least Fun Uncle Energy) and can serve a sort of mentor role to other characters of mine while still being very much an awkward dork that still has a lot of learning and growing to do himself. He might seem a bit out of place in the friend group, being in his mid-30s when all the other characters are in their early to mid 20s, but he fits in quite well otherwise.
He's still a dopey, dorky, half-animal manchild, but one in his mid-30s instead of his mid-20s, and with functional donkey ears and tail instead of a functional skunk butt. Some might attest that Jack's donkey butt is nearly as functional as his mephitine counterpart's, though... Either way, it might be a good idea to keep some of those lil pine trees and a couple cans of air freshener on hand.
When Jack was a teenager, he probably did yardwork and mowed the lawn at Grandma and Grandpa Mephitto's place and had to deal with the young Dominic Mephitto playing in the yard when he was trying to work, which would explain how they know each other and seem to have some history. He probably also grew up alongside Dom Duncan, with the two being best friends, and given his rural aesthetic, his family likely knew the Domnalls and maybe the Donners, and perhaps Jack even babysat the young Reynard Twins at some point.
As I type all of this out, I realize that my whole "Jack Hawthorne is My Dad-Sona" thing is shining through, his desire (and ability) to help my other characters being reflective of my own desires to help them and be part of their lives.
