Figure in a serious situation, the antlers would be removed just so a helmet could be worn. Same with pilots, mandatory antler removal .

I had a character that was a reindeer during the Vietnam war and maintained his antlers, He'd electrical tape the PRC-65 Radio blade antennae to his antlers to better receive reception since he lugged the Prick 65 in his unit.

Plus currently have a Finnish 1939 Winter War reindeer keeping his antlers, though still wears the Finnish military cap.
