Between mid 1912 to mid 1913, Antares and Aquila fought for control of the prairie lands outside of Aquila heartlands. By mid 1913, aquila was pushed back to the outter heartlands reagions, where their last Major defenses were located.
Because of their advance Antares suffered huge loses, with this in mind, they came up with a new plan to demoralize the aquilans and to make it easier for Antares to gain ground. The plan was to start fires in areas of heavy resistance or recently taken over. This plan backfired, as antares destroyed usable suplies in captured lans as well as convincing the aquilans to fight harder for any land that hasnt been burned yet.
In mid 1913, Antares launched a Major nightime raid agasint a large aquilan trench system located in
Ascendēns Forest.
The anterians, catering the Aquilans off guard took control of the fisrt 2 trenches quickly and remained in a harsh stalemate for the third trench. After a while, the third trench was secured and they moved in to their last 2 trenches, capturing them, despite the fierce resistance.
With aquila last major defenses having been captured, Antares began to enter deep into the heartlands of Aquila.
