I know what you're thinking, runt. You're thinking "did she fire 20 shots or only 19?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this Carnage. But being this is a UX1 Executioner, the most powerful handcannon on this planet and will vaporize your head and about 40 percent of your body, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, runt!?

if you really want to make your figures "pop", check this one out: http://www.alienskin.com/bokeh/index.aspx
It's a plugin for PS/PSP that makes it so you can create depth of field in post. I know Poser can do it, but it's a bit of a task to set it up and multiple renders, though I'm sure the affect is more accurate, but this is a nice alternative. I do use it quite a bit, especially if the background is separate from the figure, but you can work around the figure too. I found even a blur can really make the figure stand out and it's a bit more accurate to what the human eye sees :D
and I shall check out Dystopia, I didn't know they had their own site... should have figured they would :P

I don't think that would work. It's unlikely the round could deflect by 180 degrees; if it could there would be a safety system to keep it from turning 180 degrees (like in torpedoes). A mirrored would just throw more light back at the sensor in the round letting it home in more easily.
No, not really. All it would do is increase the amount of energy returning to the sensor, making it easier to track. Laser aiming systems have been around for a very long time and I don't believe anyone's investigated reflective coatings as a defense.
Heck, it didn't work against LIDAR speed detectors on Mythbusters.
Heck, it didn't work against LIDAR speed detectors on Mythbusters.
Second theory: Use of Ultrablack (carbon nanotube coating) as a defence. Ultrablack absorbs ALL light, 100% of it. If the light is absorbed, there's 0.045% of the laser's beam to bounce back to anything; That's lower than the ambient light level of the planet. Now, assuming you can only fire it in one mode (Smart mode), you have a problem.
That should work, yes.
Personally, I'd design the weapon so it can fire without an illuminated target -- you'd want that ability in case you're firing at a target with a laser sensor, and to avoid a locked weapon if the target's not bouncing light, or if the damn lens is dirty.

*sighs lgihtly* why do i get the figure i need to make some new bullets for that toy *smirks and taps a forepaw but shrugs and pulls out hir 'working kit'* Hmmmm wonder if the Naurni would mind me borrowing some ideas for Jetta new gun... might give her some more firepower *nods and goes to work*
*waves over Jetta* excuse me ma'am.. i know you bug me always for bigger and more firepower.. <.< but for these rounds its gonna cost you a bit in number of shots... on the flip side i think even people in heavy armour are gonna be surprized but the weapons 'kick'... any questions?
*shakes hir head* no no no... nothing of the sort. why would i sell you a weapon that would need such things.. you never use it. *shi says with a smirk* your old rounds are a solid slug high cal of course ms. Jetta.. very intimidating yes but ,these ones *holds up one of the seemingly simple black rounds and rolls em around in hir fingers* are special. inside is a highly reactive gel held in a micro magnetic field. give it a tiny jolt of electric energy and the gel turns into plasma. now if your weapon were to produce the 'shock' while pushing the round forward out the muzzle the case pops off like a Sabot round. the end result is up to your mind on what will happen.
*shi smiles and giggles* now your pistol right now i don't know if it can perform all the functions needed to get the best use of the round just yet but! *walks over into hir armory and walks back with a new handgun and places it own on the desk.* i can lend you this one already set up for the rounds if you trust me to mod the one you got and want it back. *smiles warmly* and before you ask if i can trust me with your sidearm please remember Ma'am your dear captain keeps me working on all these for you and everyone else. *holds our hir paws to all the armors and weapons on the racks of Jetta's ship armory and leans on the desk* so any questions? or we got a deal so i can work on your next project?
((*giggles lightly* to be honest Mapper... right now i really wanna to get a picture of doing this me the ships armorer and Jetta getting some new toys with some of the other girls of the ship or something *giggles again*))

Verrry nice!
"Mommy, she's got a really big gun!"
"Now, now, junior, that's not a very nice thing to say."
"No, look mommy, she's holding a really big gun!"
"*!!!*"
That gun looks like it needs a shoulder strap (IMO there's no way you could holster that thing, and I wouldn't want to be carrying it around all day).. and possibly a small rocket engine or two to take some of the weight off!
