Subnautica Species Description: The Abyssal Magma Leviathan resides deep into the volcano under the Alterra Ship Aurora crash site, swimming in the deep lava lakes that reside inside the Volcano of 4546B. They are known to eat any leviathan that disturbs their territory, even the Gargantuan Leviathan from the Crater Edge known as the Void, making it the Apex Predator of the region, despite sharing the same size as the Gargantuan Leviathan of 1500m/4,921ft. Despite the Leviathans’ fearsome size and power, they don't mess with the little fish one bit, letting them pass through their territory, even watching them as they migrate through, and occasionally defending them when a different leviathan tries to attack them.

Description: Varun, the leader of the Ars Aquatilis Royal Family in Hell, is a well-known Abyssal Magma Leviathan from 4546B that swims the massive lava oceans of Hell, and the oceans of Earth. When humans spot him, it can be quite a breath-taking moment in the presence of the benevolent Leviathan, who has been known to help sailors in need if their boat was sinking or were stuck in a terrible storm. This help could range from him using the powers he learned, redirecting the storm path elsewhere to get their boat to calmer waters, calming the waves, putting the ship on his snout or back and swimming to the nearest dock for them, or in some more desperate scenarios, putting them inside of his maw or gut and holding onto them until he got them somewhere safe to release them. These acts of kindness caused the humans, anthros, and even the sentient ferals to start calling him the “King of the Seas”, a name he didn’t mind one bit. One thing he did mind for a while but started accepting was them trying to offer him any food they could, sometimes trying to worship him. The worshipping ranges from praising him for his efforts to trying to give him free things, which, while he wouldn’t mind it normally, his acts of kindness were his decision and from the heart, so he tries to make sure they understand he doesn’t request any worshipping from them for helping them.
