Run, Don't Walk (1987 US Blockbusters Theme)
Getting back to doing music used for television game shows, this was my attempt at a piano duet rendition of a Richard Myhill instrumental pop song entitled "Run, Don't Walk," which was used for the second short-lived era of the television game show "Blockbusters" here in the US, hosted by Bill Rafferty. (The United Kingdom's version had a much longer run than ours ever did, essentially becoming a blockbuster in itself. I have done the theme to that one, but not the US ones yet. I may expand on my UK theme arrangement later, though, because I did part of the song, but not all of it.)
The original US version with Bill Cullen, which the UK version modeled itself on, pits one person against two people to test the proverb "Two heads are better than one." The second US era eliminated this concept and just made it a one-on-one game.
