This poem was inspired after I was hitch hiking and got dropped off at a slaughter house....and saw terrible things happening to the horses there :(

I could never do that to any animal that I owned.
I don't know how these people live with themselves - they say "it's all for the best" but is it really?

Yeah...I had a mare that was sick not so long ago....i had to do what was "all for the best" which was calling a vet to have her put down...not be loaded into the back of a trailer..

Yeah, well she wasn't eating...she was weak, had no hair what so ever on her face...it was her time.

It is very hard when you lose a horse. It is even worse when they are one you care deeply for. T^T
