Poor Stuart's in a pickle. 13 years earlier, Snowbell's girlfriend, Menika Anogra, killed and ate Margalo's mother. And not just killed and ate her, but talked about "I like to play with my food", leading Margalo to think her mother died a most unpleasant death.

Snowbell, knowing can talk to the Littles, can settle a problem he had before Stuart came: how to be able to have kittens with Menika without the Littles selling them all.

However, Margalo, angry that her mother's killer might be moving in, tells Stuart that if Menika comes, she'll move out and never come back.

Stuart wants Snowbell to be happy. On the other hand, he has plans for a future with Margalo, one that won't happen if she leaves and doesn't come back.

Torn between a good friend and family member (Snowbell) and someone he loves dearly (Margalo), he runs to his room and cries on his bed.
