ObiWanz Is Dry Clean Only
More testing out my new Copic nibs...damn things do not agree with me. I can't tell you how much I love the clone tool in photoshop. Covered up quite a few blunders caused from new nibs. Ah well, had to be done. Best to ruin my sketches instead of trades and commissions.
Anyways...I have a collie mix...prideful little bastard. He's very well aware that if he gets blow-dried at the groomers, he looks fairly ridiculous. So, here's Obi-Wan learning that sometimes it's best to drip dry...even if the temptation to get Wielder to swallow her own words is very great. Slightly wet woofie is not as ridiculous looking as floofy collie mutt.

The only thing I can say is to be loose and have fun with it. It's scary to try to stretch and squash a face, I know it is. But you kinda have to exaggerate that in some ways for certain expressions. Get a makeup mirror and sit it on your desk, and look at your own face when you need to do an unfamiliar expression. That really helps me.

They can also give you some very reproachful looks too.
Luckily part of the family chores are the dogs get brushed at least once a day and get a bath once a week, our dogs have gotten to the point where they love both, especially our Colie/Huskie that is my eldest daughters, but the moment you start up the blow drier, they don't go for the hills but *shrugs*

The interactions you put between Wielder and Obi-Wan, both spoken and silent, are always entertaining.
It's fun to watch them try to outsmart one another, especially since you always seem to find a way for both of them to get their shots in.

I'm glad that I'm doing a decent job of writing Obi-Wan. I suppose being a Star Wars nerd for years upon years of my life makes that come a bit naturally. As for their interaction, they have a fun push and pull to work with...on the outside, it might seem as though there's not a lot in common, but Wielder's actually very philosophical under her bravado, and Obi-Wan's actually quite a passionate and fiery thing under all of that patience. Cheeky bastard.
