It's a little Column A, a little Column B! Some of it is a hold over from Conspiracy, where I when I first made up the story and the names just kinda, sounded cool. But there is some abstract meaning that becomes clearer as the story progresses, and will take a while to become clear. Again, reading the whole story a couple times should in theory give you some breadcrumbs that I've been laying all along, some subtle, others a bit more overt!
Remember seeing your presentation of how this page
was put together, all the 3D modelling, orienting,
the digi-painting, the speechbubbling
and the lettering... Lots and lots of unseen work
and deliberation to make it look so neat and organic,
and to maintain that sharp geometry of your style!
Thank you for going so many extra miles
for your craft, and for your love
of this project in particular.

I feel like in the age of AI it’s more important than ever to show people what goes into a work. And honestly I just love to show people because I feel like there’s a value in sharing my process. A way of paying it forward from my own analysis of other people s processes over the years.
There is definitely value in that! Perhaps I've been spoiled
by the age of instant communication, but I find it difficult
to engage with art that doesn't have its creator
still kicking about somewhere, and being
hypothetically – or very definitely, as is the case with gallery sites –
available for getting in touch with them and to witnessing their lives unfold.
The art visual itself, while sometimes incredibly powerful and moving
on its own, still needs that connection with the human behind it,
and with its age and culture, to be fully appreciated,
which is why the genAI content feels even more barren and lifeless
to me, in addition to its many other flaws.
Perhaps the one good outcome of the machine learning boom bubble
would be the increase in the demand for that kind of connection
among the wider public, if only for the purposes of authentication.
Thank you for sacrificing a little of your privacy
to establish this important link
between your creations,
your audience and yourself!
