Today is a new major update. featuring a lot of QOL stuff that should have been in the game for a while. This update is a tad small mostly because i've been sick over the last 2 weeks But hopefully that comes to an end. Over the impromptu break i've gotten a lot of ideas so hopefully i will get them implemented over the next set of updates. Also we reached 10k views and 1,500 downloads on the game Which is huge! honesty thank you for the support! Here is the full changelog
Added the main menu. Finally.
Added the settings menu. this allows you to access and change settings of the game as the name implies.
Added support for custom resolutions.
Added the ability to keep mute settings between sessions. (via the settings menu)
Settings are saved in the same place as save files, (%appdata%\LocalLow\DefaultCompany\RPG (URP) ) under "settings.json" to keep them separate. also backup files will not be created for settings.
Added a new mechanic hunger. as you grow hungry you'll find that transformations happen a lot more often and a lot faster. so take a moment to eat. (also starving removes some health)
Added a new item type, food. they currently come in 3 flavors. normal, vegetable. and meat rations. keep in mind that not all animals are omnivores.
You also start with 2 rations.
Added a close button to all menus.
Added enemy speed. it works the same way as player speed.
Switched the map generation algorithm. from random walk to binary partitioning.
Added skylights. they get rarer the further you go down.
the dungeon now gets bigger and more complicated the further down you go.
Rooms and pathways now have different colors.

Hey, I was playing the game earlier and I ran into a bug where after I passed out, I couldn't move anymore unless I was in a menu. I'm not sure if I tried to open a menu while the pass out screen was active or if I was in a menu before I passed out. Also, I had a dungeon generate with black tiles which made it impossible to see where I was going. Just thought I should let you know
Thanks for the report. For the first bug i don't exactly know what's causing the bug and this is something that came up before. But this is something that i can detect, so if this bug ever shows up again opening and closing a menu *should* fix it.
as for the dungeon tiles i added a minimum brightness for tiles which should prevent it from being impossible to navigate.
i released a patch with these changes.
