Other problem with wanting to draw lots of Mewblade is the concept of lots of variety. Technique stayed the same, drew a sketch, scanned it, did the lines in Illustrator and the coloring in Photoshop with a theme and shading style that isn't particularly common for me to use on my girl. This one I wanted to show grace and beauty, two things that I rarely ever get across without have to sneak in a definite female gender.
Mewblade's aura and energy usage works differently than this, and tends to waver around. It also ranges from blue, to indigo, to purple in the color department as well, even so I felt I wanted to take some liberties. Can't really define a theme, or a scene or really anything in this case, and again I wanted to depict her peaceful, relaxed and feminine while still being Mewblade. Did a different expression for her, and a very ballet/jazz-like arm position for once. Do dance for 10 years and have nothing to show for it. Overall just love the soft pastel colors and how charming she seems. Stark difference from the last picture I posted.
