“Arcana? Why is the room so dark?” Manda asked softly then paused, her large ears turned forward, listening, hand still upon the doorknob. Tilting her head a bit she quietly padded into the girls room, then paused again, those ears picking up the sound of breathing. “Arc?” She called out again, moving forward, pausing only as she heard a groan. “Darlin, are you alright?”
Blinking in the darkness, she paused as her eyes widened again, catching that large set of glowing orbs. She shivered and took a step back, placing her hands to the wall behind her as she let those ears lower to her head as the beast growled softly and lowly, staring at her in turn wide eyed.
“A-arc?” Manda blinked then gasped, turning her head as the beast lurched forward, jaws wide as it roared at her.
“LEAVE!”
Shivering in place as the beast continued to scream she softly spoke. “N… no. I’m here for you Darlin…” she couldn’t help that look of fear that crossed her face, but her resolve held her fast – there was no way in hell, she’d leave Arcana to this beast, as she knew already, they were one in the same.
