Wow, he's beautiful. :) The detail on him is astounding... and to think this is ultimately one panel in a comic. The work you two are putting into Red Lantern blows my mind. :) If this ain't scalie love I dunno what is.

Beautiful colouring, and I like how the scales show real variance in depth, size and coverage. I like how you even have a sort of wrinkle in the scaling at the neck where it connects to the head - adds all the more realism.
