This was actually a contest entry. The basis of the contest was simple; create your own original dragon. I didn't win anything, but I was proud of how the colors came out. I even wrote up a quick description of this species.
"The Orange Tropical Water Dragon can usually be found roaming about tropical reefs, catching and eating the other brightly colored fauna found in this climate. This dragon is specifically waterbound, spending it's whole life breathing underwater. It's sharp bone beak is used for not only grappling fish, but breaking open shelled creatures such as clams, muscles and other mollusks. The Tropical Water Dragon has two sets of eyes; one set high in the head to look above the water's surface while the other keeps watch below the surface for food or danger. This creature is about the size of a killer whale, with the tail an added body length. It's hands and feet are webbed; it's feet and back legs rather large and powerful to propel itself through the water quite gracefully. The Dragon's wings have evolved into a smaller set of appendages and are now used as rudders to meneuver under the water. Like a shark, this creature is normally docile and usually only becomes agressive while feeding or fighting for heating females."
