The longer I stare at the creature, I began to think, "It's not attacking. It's kind of cute. Is for pets?"
Well. What I really do like is the contrast in rendering style. We expect the guy to be the focus but he's more cartoony so the eye keeps being drawn back to the other subject which has more realism, creating an interesting and slightly unsettling play between styles.
