More worldbuilding background! I’m trying to keep things relevant to this story fairly contained within the story itself, but figured exposition like this here is important enough to the plot to stay in. It’s fun having a lot of these little pieces in place already with Heart of the Forest (read it here if you haven’t already! It’s more high fantasy, m/m werewolf romance), and seeing them come out & expanding on them more.
But here we hit our first important turning point! I was a little unsure of having this in the story, but knew that something like this needed to happen to get things where I want them to go, & it helps with the main message I’m trying to tell through this story.
