heh, Yeah he is meant to be creepy, but don't worry, its not like that with him. Ron is the pet that he bought to be a companion for his daughter. And don't worry, you're not the only person to get that vibe from this page. The analogy I used to explain the situation to another is like one of those richie ladies with the little purse chihuahuas, a pretty little status symbol. The petting and affections aren't flirtatious, but just spoiling the family cat.
Not to be a spoiler for later events, but because Ron is meant to be Lily's pet and companion the master is actually under the impression that Ron is a eunuch. XD It causes some fun drama later involving Lily.
