The Khorasi are the inhabitants of the planet A181-Khoras. They were the first intelligent extraterrestrial species to make direct contact with humanity when, in 2101, a Universal Instruments ship encountered a Khorasi naval patrol in the A181 system, 1 and 1/2 lightyears from the Earth system. Relations between the Khorasi and humanity are excellent, with Universal Instruments being the sole UN-chartered ambassadors of humanity. Many Khorasi are employed by UI, including Lexa, seen in her mechanic's coveralls and UI Fleet dress uniform.
