"Sometimes, I wonder who has more involvement in this project, my son Icarus or the fallen war beast, Agnar. When I gaze upon the "Leviathan" and see it's biologically fused and false metal plating, the way it towers over buildings being over several hundred feet tall, I only see a machine built for battle. The Leviathan is aptly named for its horrendous size, and despite the name it is not a serpent in the slightest. No, it is in fact built off fallen Kollisoids, (AKA: Soft Bellied Crabs) then the scale got multiplied by a few numbers. Despite that, it is still a being who had multiple personalities melted down into one single entity that acts as a collective. The Leviathan is mostly used for transporting buildings, outposts, artillery, and even transporting tens of thousands of troops across land and water. Some of these being Love-Bots, Kobolds, Dwarves and a few Draconian units.
Most of the uniqueness though of the shells are usually attached to the creature's back, and with all of that bulk it acts as a forward base. Usually digging itself into the ground and them "unfurling" like a flower on the battlefield. These bases will mostly consist of foundries, factories, and anything that helps self-replicate "mindless" drone units onto the battlefield to act as support for the various biological units, and the same can be said for these mindless drone units to gather materials for temporary base construction. Watching them build a barracks in literally seconds is quite an amazing feat... The one weakness however of this stationary form is that it has a pretty glaring "Central HQ" and if it is lost, it can halt the process of every other building in the base and must be repaired to continue the construction. Interestingly enough this is not the only unit that are directly related to the Kollisoid, even if those ones are on a smaller scale and act closer to tanks.
All I know is that the Leviathans of the ocean are heavily annoyed that they feel their species name are getting squandered by being related to Kollisoids and or feel like they are being "one upped", by a machine that has zero relation to them whatsoever. I'm still not sure why they're coming to me about it, probably because Icarus has closed his doors tightly shut and does not care to listen to dragons with a "better than thou" attitude. Or at least, that's what he told me when I brought it up with him..." ~Thomza Materia

Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.

Fun Fact: Skin to Scales was inspired a lot by RTS games and Wargaming, but I feel that's a bit obvious. I still wanted the idea of these forward bases to be a bit imaginative in design- Another factoid I wanted to share was about the Kollisoid. I feel like a common misconception is that it's heavily inspired by Scolipede from Pokémon, but that's not entirely true as it's actually more closely inspired by the Thrumbo from Rimworld- Even if none of these creatures really share the same traits, but I did want to talk about that inspiration really quick-
