Original Species: Grey Tapirunner
The Grey Tapirunner is a herbivorous mammal, closely related to the Common Tapirunner. It can be found further to the northwest of its cousin's territory. Adults typically travel in herds of 25-40 individuals and constantly vigil on the lookout for potential predators. Lither-built predators such as Pursuer Hounds and Wyverns are the main threat to this trunked herbivore.
Members of this species don't seem to perceive humanoid creatures as much of a threat, allowing for relatively easy field studies. That is unless the Grey Tapirunner implements one of its defense strategies. Grey Tapirunners typically hand around herds of larger and more aggressive herbivores, such as the Equirex or the Mega Tapirs; the presence of bigger and more belligerent herbivores makes them feel safer. In those situations, it is best to stay clear of them.
