A character I designed after seeing
tiamat and
airu's "Sound hounds".
- Generates mostly ambient noise and effects that make up the melody of a song
- Can generate soft vocals, snare drums, claps, anything in the middle and high ranges of sound and percussion
- Generates power by moving, so he rarely stands still
- Usually found slinking around on the dance floor
- Emits a steamy smoke from tail as a waste bi-product that smells like sweat
- Leaves glowing liquid pawprints wherever he goes
- Has no discernable gender (can generate both male and female vocals)
- Lights down sides and eyes are syncronized, changing color from red to yellow to green and back again. Eyes are the end of the trail and will usually be the same color as the light nearest to that end.
- Equilizer lights on shoulders indicates sync to available baseline
- Spines are floppy/flexible/wobbly and have moving lights along their lengths (again in green-yellow-red, like the equilizer bars) that also sync to music in the environment. Lights are brightest at the tip, where the skin is the lightest, and leave light trails when he's moving.
- Green button on chest will stop (or start) the smoke effect as necessary, but leaving it off for too long poses great risk to the sound hound himself
- Gas mask is removable (has the face of a great dane, green-yellow-red pulsing teeth, black mouth interior with a speaker at the back of his throat)
Claws generate percussion noises when stepping/stomping.
Pawpads and body parts/friction generates most melodic tones (keyboard keys, beeps, squeaks, etc)
Voice generates vocals and miscelleneous sounds (reverb, in particular, which is the only time Riff has to stand still- as he has to shake his head back and forth unnaturally fast to do this, and therefore cannot usually keep his balance mid-stride)
All of this comes together to give him a strangely jittery, jumpy, jerky sort of way of moving, alternating between moving smoothly and jerking/jumping/stomping about depending on the song.

This is a little bit sparkly for me, even I must admit. But I freaking love trance music, there was no way I could not. Though I am suddenly reminded how terrible I am at designing robots. ><

Thanks. :3 I'm glad you like it. x3
I'm probably going to add a few speakers/wires to him though. He doesn't feel like a "sound hound" as much as I wanted him too. But we'll see. I'm probably just nit-picking, but I wanted to do these guys proper justice. Such a cool concept. B3
