I’d like to remind both you and Samhain that the story normally takes place in Hybrid City, a place made specifically for and to attract hybrids. While I doubt these people have never seen a hybrid before, they probably don’t see one very often, especially full-body hybrids like the twins. Plus, a pair of nearly identical hybrids should be pretty rare too, since even in the same family the level of hybridization varies.
