so my cellphone charger stopped working and I got extremely pissed of. Now this is my charger and my god I'm deathly afraid to unplug it on the count it might shock the ever living piss out of me. At least I didn't spend another 30 damn dollars for another one.

It does remind me of my old high school electronics class; "Remember students, if you notice a classmate enduring an electrical shock of such magnitude that they cannot move away from the source you have my full permission to take this wooden 2x4 and WAIL on the moron in whatever manner necessary as to disconnect them from their mistake."

it works because it was a PSU from a PC that used a manual switch, so the button goes all the way to the back of the case to touch the PSU; that is the button was a really long stick. So is a simple on-off instead of being controlled by those wires like modern ones. No fancy suspend mode computerized power just on or off.
Simplicity is the best in my book. They want to make everything complicated nowadays to make people stray from doing it themselves to having other people do it for them, or just going out for a new one. I'm gonna take one of my uncle's CDrom drives and take it apart and see what's inside and what I can use it for. He's got like a bazzilion of them. lol
