Her head shape is inspired by Rain's beautiful sloped nose in Spirit, can you tell?

May upload more WIP shots later. I can't express how happy I am with how this is turning out.

She'll be finished by the end of the week... I'm planning to go for a Venetian mask look.

It's a mix of regular paper mache (newspaper strips) with the instant stuff.

Well that's really freaking cool. :3 Did you even have to make a mesh structure underneath? Because if that's just by hand.. You are pretty awesome o.o

Yeah, the base is made from cardboard and wire mesh. :] I don't think I have any photos of it at that stage... it was pretty basic, just a couple connected strips.

I was thinking of adding in some designs like the sheet music and gold decorations in this:

I haven't decided how to pull it all together, though. I'm stuck between doing a realistic and a stylized look. If she is more realistic, though, she probably will be designed after my hoss character, yes. :]

oh man a venetian horse mask would be bomb though. great for masquerade, even if its not your official horsesona's look.

It really is turning out beautifully! I wouldn't have expected that level of detail at this stage- I'll be really excited to see the finished product :)

Its the sloped or "roman" nose that makes it look drafty. Most drafts have a roman nose. Looks good though.
