Bristle was an asshole with only one soft spot: Ky. When the earth takes Ky from him, he snaps. Fuck being good, and fuck trying. So he decides to be as rotten and mean as possible. Anger and lashing out feels good, it keeps him from thinking of their forbidden romance and how he was shafted once by a bar. When he dies, he finds his actions have consequences, but he also finds Ky has been sent there. Enraged that the best girl in his eyes has been condemned, Bristle vows revenge on heaven and the many shrewths who got in besides his girlfriend.
