This actually started off as a dog pattern from the same book that the hamster came from. Super Cute Amigurumi by Annie Obaachan. But as I started getting more pieces done, I thought it looked more like a cat than a dog. So I went with it.
The muzzle on this is the first thing I've ever crocheted completely freehand with no influence of a pattern or instructions. I decided to make it a cat before I made the muzzle, and in the example picture, the muzzle looked like it was supposed to be cylindrical. I didn't want that. So I took what I've learned about making non-round things (Yarn Meatball's ears) and just went with it. I kind of wish I varied the colors a little. I should work on that for future things... Stop being lazy and switch colors more before I forget how to.
Stuff I watched on tv while making this (lol): The Wrong Man (1956), Will and Grace, most of season one of The Big Bang Theory. Exhilarating.
My knuckles hurt.
