wow the colors on this are fantastic. you realy nailed representational color in this one. the dramatic shadows and highlights are wonderfull. i dont realy know what is going on in the backround, but im glad its there, becauses the activated bacround helps the piece more than if it were all white. i dont think i have ever said this before, but a larger image would be nice. keep up the good work.
Ahhh the background explanation goes like this:
Basically, music is one of the hugest inspirations in my life and in my art. I was trying to think of what to do as a background, and while thikning, I was listening to a song that had lyrics that said: "...Watch the night sky fading Red...." So I made it red, and put some of the song's lyrics in the background along with other little doodles and such. Glad ya like it.
As for a larger version... I don't like making my pictures too small, but the reason I like to resie my pictures to make them easily fit the monitor is because I believe art should mainly be viewed as a whole... I mean when an artist designs something, they're designing everything as one piece and all the little pieces harmonize together.... So because of the limitation of the computer monitor, I prefer to resize my paintings to fit your screen comfortably without much distortion.
SOMETIMES though, I will upload two versions of a picture in order to show detail, for example the picture "We Fuckin Rock Harder Than Ice Cream" was uploaded twice... a version that fits your screen and a version up close cause I spent a lotta time with detail...
The specific painting above had some detail, but personally it wasn't special enough for me to show up-close. BUT I'm flattered someone likes it enough to want a bigger version. =3
Thanks man, for your always in-depth comments, it's very much appreciated!=3
