The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone.
She was very old, though she did not know it,
and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam
but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night.
But her eyes were still clear and unwearied,
and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.A messy reference for my fursona. Will move to scraps once I've got her design finalized and a decent ref.

I actually edited it a bit n reupped bc I wrote so much off the cuff and forgot basic photoshoppy skills LOL... so even more fun stuff has been added/clarified for further context, evocation and inspiration >:D gotta get that gothic romance fairytale horror heroine vibe across somehow! (what a mouthful!!!!) You like horror n spooki stuff so if you can handle purple prose I'd highly rec Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories; it does Something to my brain XD
Figuring her out has been SO fun bc you know. She's me but also magic and dreams, and what that means for me. I hope I'm able to tease out that sense of wonder such things can evoke in the heart; if even one person can pick up what I'm putting down I'll be happy. <3
