Maybve, just going by what I picked up at Anime North.

"otaku" did indeed mean "house" much in the same way "gay" used to mean "happy." Through years of culture, otaku now has a meaning closer to "geek who never leaves parent's basement." And when applied to non-Japanese people it means more like "obsessive fanboy of all that is Japanese."

Or atleast that is my understanding of it.

I had to recently quest for it, because there are very few places I know of near where I live that sells it. I found a place in the Philadephia Chinatown that sells the "regular" boxes for $2.25. Better than the $3 I was getting it for at FurFright '05 and my local Sam Goody (which seems to have stopped selling it these days. **cries**). However, it's $10 round trip. Oh well, the things I do for chocolate. **laughs**
