This is a custom nerf longshot. The body and scope are the original Longshot CS-6 that has since been discontinued. It is a NON FUNCTIONING prop. My mavericks and other nerf mods still fire, however I broke the gun itself years ago and just recently decided to give it a cosmetic mod. The barrel is extended with a Nerf N-Strike Recon Barrel, a wood dowel that's inserted into the Recon and a tactical light case at the end to emulate a muzzle brake. Initial color was of course a bright, kid-safe blue, yellow and orange amalgamation. I sanded everything down, laid down a base of black, taped off everything I wanted to remain black and went over what was left exposed with a light beige. Individual light brown stripes were painted on and immediately dabbed with a sea sponge. Once that dried, I spotted the gun with a darker brown and gave that the same treatment with the sponge. Once it was all dried, I removed the tape and here's the final product.

They still have the same basic gun on production, the N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 (I plan on modding on of those too), but the body and front barrel are molded differently. If you can, try to google for the Longshot CS-6 and Longstrike CS-6 to see the cosmetic differences between the two. Plus, the Longstrike does not have a scope, it was replaced by a little flip up sight-a-ma-jig. I actually used that sight on my Master's Maverick.
Real guns are okay... less fun though. I mean, safety on, you can't keep your finger on the trigger unless you're absolutely certain what's in front of the gun is something you want dead. You can't flag anyone with the muzzle. You need those orange goggle things, those big earmuff looking things, those brass looking little things...
