The Brightest Sun is a landmark comic for me since it marks the return of me writing my own comics after an extended writing block that’s lasted about 7 years. It also marks my return to my truest love; space opera stories revolving around members of my athenian species. Even though the main cast of this story are humanoid, I hope you stick around to give this story a chance. My universe is a furry-friendly one so anthro characters will pop up from time to time.
Jareth originally began life as my Starfield character, but it was inevitable that he be converted to my original headworld. Some of the things that happen to him are (very) loosely based off of his Starfield adventures, but most of it is an original story.
I’ve always had a soft spot for nerd characters, so it makes sense that I would one day do a major story starring a scientist character. Don’t be fooled, though. He’s not going to be spending the entire story giving lectures, making dad jokes and playing with beakers like he does in Interstellar Safari. TBS is a story centering around his field research and a discovery that ends up going down the rabbit hole further than he could ever imagine.

In “The Brightest Sun”, Jareth, a xenobiologist, unexpectedly uncovers a mystery of the cosmos during his research. Jareth embarks on a quest for truth, accompanied by his eternally loyal best friend, Patrick and backed by the unwavering support of his wife, Cerra. Time is of the essence as a band of space pirates has caught wind of the finding, turning it into a race against fate.
Unlike the previous webcomic, Diplomatic Immunity, this one is almost completely written by myself with Newie serving as an editor. He was on board with co-writing a handful of pages, which I will always give credit to him for when they come up.
