How often do these dragons molt?

As I figure it:

All ages approximate: they can vary +/- 1-5 solar years in the case of later molts

First molt: 2 solar years [dragon viewed as a hatchling/infant]
Second molt: 8 solar years (2 + (2 + 2)) [dragon viewed as a child]
Third molt: 24 solar years (8 + (8+8)) [dragon viewed as a young adult, prime education years, first flight and first Breath years]
Fourth molt: 72 solar years (24 + (24+24)) [dragon of "voting age," but expected to defer to elders and betters]
Fifth molt: 216 solar years (72 + (72+72)) [dragon viewed as full adult]
Sixth molt: 648 solar years (216 + (216+216)) [old age for a dragon]

Is this what Eblammalf can look forward to, or is he going to be three apples high for life?
