It was tough - but after learning the pattern on the last phase...I did beat him~ Fexxus was a fun fight, once you have the pattern down. Bit much trial and error, yet the shoulder-blind spot was the best hint ever.
Also curious if I missed something...but on the final reward afterwards, are...only common stage-enemies in the gallery? Not the bosses? I would love to see the boss-animations like that too :3

Glad you are able to beat him, what you can do now is to get Ending 2 (you need to be on normal mode when fighting Fexus) and maybe even find the hidden ending easter egg hunt.
But sadly I wanted the bosses to be special so only the basic enemys are in the gallery

Nice game, much memory and execution memory to get 'that flawless run' - the level before Fexxus however could use one more save-point before the first 'filling-up-jar', I think. The wall-jumps are pretty hard on the first jumping part and took me way too long with the liquid rising...still, very nice~!
Overall, really enjoyed all the designs and...well, the FLOMP-ing as well :D Then again, always loved your animations, humour and designs!

one gripe i am having atm is that in the first boss the ammo box being sold and basically forcing you to jump on and destroy the platform , and the re spawn being behind the tutorial thing which is also solid and running into it can get annoying when retrying the boss, but the fire segment is a million times better with the hit boxes
I bought the game, pretty neat so far, but now I'm stuck. I'm in the new area (after I gave 25.000 gem to the purple dragon). I'm in a castle and I arrived at the 2nd bouncy dragon where I need to pass through in FRONT instead of his back. It's impossible to cross. That hitbox is too punishing. Mostly I'm too early or when I seem to finally passing through but somehow his butt got me anyway :(

also for death coins, you are locked out of them IF you are in easy mode and Activated ANY shortcut in any level, so the big button in the Armory will close all your shortcuts.
in the warp rooms you have this machine which shows what you can collect if the skull coin is crossed some shortcut is active somewhere and you have to press the big button ^^

well skunk is pretty easy if you know the trick, you must make it tired so lurk it to a wall and jump over him when he charged and shoot him when he is exhausted.
I still got art to make for another game so that is on the list now.

has been a fair while since I tried, but I feel like I always either missed that jump or got squashed while waiting for him.

ahh that old nugget, I never did learn how to test games on different consoles and PC's. I remember my teacher explaining it but that was nearly 10 years ago now. either way I'm sure it'll go well,
yeah I know, that's why I'll be buying your newest version in a few weeks :) gotta sort out some bills first, but after all the hours you've put into this, I'm more then happy to whack $10 in. I'll send a couple of messages out for you to in the hopes of increasing your sales. Is the skunk boss level attached at the end to the first chasing level with the red dragon? Because I went back to the Warp Room and now I can't access it, and I don't want to play the level again to fight the boss.
I don't understand how you're supposed to avoid him if you move away from the central platforms, so I just kept failing.

The problem with the fight is, despite being able to use the platforms to avoid him, if he gets in front of you with his jumping attack, there is nothing you can do, and you will instantly fail. This happened to me upwards of 10-15 times.
There is also the possibility of him locking you into a cycle of jumps, so that he might not charge the wall for quite awhile, which also happened to me more than once.
I did finally beat him, and I've managed to get to the first alien level, but the temple level was so miserably difficult I almost gave up.
I think there's a lot of fun content here, and I'm happy to support your projects and this game, congratulations on the release!

If you hear the falling sound you have to move backwards because the skunk will fall down in a straight line.
You have to keep an eye on him.

Absolutely amazing work! I just had to keep throwing myself at it and I hit the credits! The environments are excellent, the enemy designs are great. The platforming requires you to be very tight. Only thing that felt wonky to me really was the wall jump. I often struggled with going back and forth and found it far easier to climb the same wall, which came back to bite me on some later puzzles.
I definitely think the game is punishingly difficult, but call me a masochist as I just had to keep playing, even when losing 40 lives to the same Dracthyr chase portion (that last one requires precise timings and movements.) I cannot imagine playing without the Checkpoints though, some of those levels are *way* too long to ever think of doing in one shot. I got all the skull coins for World 1, so the first 5, but I don't think I'll ever get more, but I'll definitely keep replaying for those animations! The adrenaline thrill of pushing through a difficult puzzle to see that almighty checkpad... and of course stumbling on some new enemies and environments. Super love that Space Raptor bounty hunter and the aliens that get the drop on you and the bosses especially towards the end. Very fun game, thanks for making it, and hope to see more from you!

I am glad you enjoy the game ^^ I tryed my best making this game, I am not a code wizard and its my first ever alone project.
If you would like, I just updated the game with a patch 1.8 it should balance out the easy diffeculty just a little.

yeah your visual stuff in this was really well done. i really appreciated using gems as guides in some levels in what to do that was really neat. also just because i am curious, is there any secret bosses in this? i would like to say i have been pretty thourough but i admit the secrets in this are very well done and actually quite challenging to find.
well thanks for answering all the questions i had. i eagerly look forward to whatever your next project is(though i do hope Fexus is in it, love that guy, for numerous reasons), and on that note also have to say, the animation you get when you lose all your lives is fantastic, really the only thing that could be neat is getting a new one with fexus after you have payed your debt or maybe lost your last life against him. again just thoughts. all in all, ace game all in all.
that would have been neat, but i get wanting to finish, i mean the time and effort you put into this is insane. (sorry by the by for the hour gaps between messages, been doing various things around my house which means i kinda come back at odd times). I will say though if any dlc/expansions are made for this or a sequel then i will be buying them in a heartbeat. honestly i wish i had payed extra for this given the experience. you did real good with this one. hell its better then some supposed triple a stuff i have seen in my time. certainly more fun and polished.

Hey again. asking this far far later then i wanted to(real life got really busy all of a sudden for me) but i wanted to know if i had to be on any specific difficulty to find the hidden characters and such for the third ending? cause i would like to find them but would feel real silly scouring every level up and down only to find out i found nothing cause i was on the wrong difficulty or something. thanks.

I've been thinking of making money from itch.io games too, and now I'm curious... did you choose the "Direct to you" or "Collected by itch.io" payment mode? The first one looks complicated, but the second comes with a pretty big withholding tax for people outside USA... well, maybe not much bigger than the cut of profits Steam takes... still annoying though.
I make Itchio collect all the money, but since I have a NL BSN I don't pay the us tax, I have to write it off on my own government.
So every 4 month I request a payment and just put it as income for my own company.
thats why the game is 10 euro thats included the 21% tax here
