After escaping the Tower life was dandy in Avanbrus with his new lady and her family. Hideo was a happy mutt, accepted despite being 2/3 elf in a primarily human household. The only time things went sour was when some bandits attacked the farm and his brother-in-law Sebastian revealed he was an abomination, having accepted the aide of a pride demon for health and power.

Well, no one was pleased with this realization and after a while some cross words were exchanged and Seb snapped and the demon got full control and shit went down.

Hideo, the strongest, non-demon possessed mage in Avanbrus decided with the rest of the clan that he would go into the fade and kill the pride demon that held control over Seb.

Sadly pride demons are the strongest of all demons (http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Pride_demon) and Hideo hadn't gone through his harrowing before escaping the Tower. He was terrified, but if he had to he was going to give his life to destroy the devilish creature and free Sebastian.

Being a force mage helped.
