Description: Cruiser is the first of a relatively small line of RVsaurs, a subcategory of the Utilisaurs, with around 370k RVsaurs out there. His vehicle form is a modified Forest River Sunseeker, with the cab of a 2007 Ford F-750 Superduty and a dino form of the Ichthyovenator, a Spinosaurid. He was bought by a kind and caring family who lived in Erie, Pennsylvania, the Flagship City of the state with access to the Great Lakes. The family was a group of Anthro Dromaeosaurids. The father was a Pyroraptor, and the mother was a Utahraptor. They had 2 kids and 2 teenagers, one of which resembled his mother’s side more. The other teenager was in-between, sharing equal features from both of her parents and two kids who were just under the age of 13, one looking more like her father while the other was just like his older sister, bearing the resemblance of both parents.
The family loved to go on long road trips during the summertime, so when the Autosaur Creators introduced the RV Subcategory, they were quick to purchase Cruiser so that they’d have a companion who could drive them when the Parents wanted to hang out with their kids in the back. Cruiser was more than happy to become a part of their family, enjoying hanging out with the 4 kids whenever they set up camp. Sometimes he’d go into his dino form and playfully ‘hunt’ the kids down in the forest, helping them get better at hiding and even running if they had to. If he caught them, however, he’d gently nom them and tuck them inside his gut, letting them out when the chase was over. The younger kids, for the sake of not scaring them at first if they got caught, he would give them gentle and playful licks before eating them when they said they were ready. Some of the games he’d do with the kids, other than playing the predator, is hiding in thick foliage to have the teenagers help the kids hone their hunting skills as raptors, even if they might be anthros. When they’d find him, they’d playfully pounce on him and cuddle with the large Ichthyovenator, who was always happy to be in their presence, enjoying their playful energy.
However, years later, during one of the nights on one of their road trips, the family was sleeping in their tent with Cruiser curled up around their tent protectively, watching the surrounding area. He had watched the family grow for 7 years, with a new addition to the family just a year ago, a little baby girl who looked more like her mom. The arrival of a new hatchling in the family had him on a higher alert than normal, a sort of ‘guardian instinct’ kicking in. He saw some lights in the sky but made nothing of it at first, thinking it was just a plane flying by as he heard some noise from nearby. As he got up to make sure there wasn’t a predator about to attack the camp, a beam of light suddenly engulfed him. He looked up, seeing the same light pattern from before on a UFO as the beam of light started lifting him up, and he quickly morphed into RV form to try to drive away, but he was unable to as his wheels fully lose contact with the ground and he was lifted into the ship. Upon arriving in the UFO, he hardly moved an inch. He was terrified. He didn’t believe aliens existed, but now here he was, in one of their many ships, and he didn’t know what to do.
He looked around, seeing some tall humanoid aliens approaching. He was unsure of them and what they wanted, but they seemed to not be hostile as they seemed confused about how they had beamed up an RV and merely wanted to study his family, except their beam had been misaligned and grabbed him instead. He carefully moved his headlights in a way to not alert them that he was alive, studying the room he was in as they talked in a language he couldn’t quite understand. One of the aliens placed an opened jar of some reddish-brown slime on his hood, stepping away to grab something else. They seemed to mean no harm as the one that walked away seemed to be preparing to beam him back down when the slightly peppery smell of the odd slime caused him to sneeze, the jar flying in the air briefly as the slime fell out, landing on his hood and before long he started to feel very sick. The aliens, startled by the sneeze, were quick to beam him off their ship, not even worried about the spill of the slime as he phased off their ship. During this, however, something went wrong. His stomach felt weird, like it was being wrung, twisted, and even stretched all at the same time, causing him a lot of pain as he roared out. He found himself shifting rapidly between dinosaur form and vehicle form, groaning out from the pain before he finally felt the ground beneath his claws, panting some from the pain he felt as it gradually receded.
As he recovered, he could feel the slime still on his snout, and quickly used his claws to make a hole in the ground, dumping it in and burying it before examining his body to try to see what that slime did to him. He found nothing wrong…but his stomach felt strangely empty. He felt empty before, but this was different. Something felt off about the inside of his stomach, giving him a strange idea as he slowly stood back up, looking up to watch the UFO, which had seemed to stay there at first to make sure he was ok despite being startled, fly away. He looked at the tent, making sure the family hadn’t woken up from his noises of pain before carefully walking to the nearby river from their campsite, stepping into the water, and eating as many fish as he could catch. A couple of hours of eating passed, and he had eaten enough that he shouldn’t have been able to move, but his gut hadn’t gotten any bigger, something he knew couldn’t be possible. Then it hit him. The slime had an odd smell and stung it when it touched him, something about it must’ve done this to him, with the alien’s beam amplifying it tenfold. He wasn’t sure, but he remembered hearing rumors about Demon, the only remaining prototype of the Autosaurs, being alive and having made many connections since his revolt. He thought to himself that maybe he could try to find the prototype and get answers.
The next morning came around, and as the family was packing up the camp to continue one of their road trips, he turned to his RV Form. The family was shocked when they climbed into the back and found it being much bigger inside than usual and asked him what happened. He took a deep breath and told them how he had become alert suddenly when he heard a noise, being a UFO that picked him up, and while the aliens didn’t have harmful intentions, some slime of theirs caused pain when it landed on him, and their beam caused its effects to be stronger as if some of the slime had absorbed into his system. He then mentioned how he wished to look for the prototype Autosaur, Demon. To his surprise, his family understood and agreed to help him where they could, knowing it must’ve been scary for him to go through last night alone, causing him to smile and morph a front wheel into an arm, happily hugging them to his hood. Afterward, the family loaded up into his more spacious interior, and off they went to finish their road trip, keeping ears open for any information about Demon’s last known location. It’d been a few years since the night he was abducted. They hadn’t had any luck, with Cruiser sometimes speaking out in Autosaur on some radio frequencies asking other Autosaurs for help finding him, some Autosaurs driving along with them here and there to help keep an eye out, one of the more notable ones being a 1947 Chevrolet Loadmaster who had a 1979 Bell 412 Aerosaur in the bed, resting to heal some injuries they had sustained from a rough landing, and they told him they had witnessed a vehicle matching his description leaving a massive forest in the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina, but they didn’t try going in there to as it seemed like a spooky place for Demon to call home.
Thanking the Utilisaur and Aerosaur for the information, he and his family would begin their long drive to North Carolina to find Demon and get some answers about that night. After a few days’ travel since meeting the pair, Cruiser and his family had arrived in the Great Smoky Mountains, carefully driving on the mountainside road and being mindful due to the signs warning about possible rockslides. It wasn’t long until they managed to drive off onto a dirt road, away from the mountain and down towards the forest they were told about. The sheer amount of trees and how dark it looked definitely made it seem a bit spooky at first glance. Cruiser stopped at the edge of the treeline, telling his family they didn’t have to come with him, as with how dark it looked, it could be dangerous, but they ushered him on, telling him they weren’t going to let him go alone, and with a sigh, turned on his headlights and slowly drove inside. There was a shimmer around him suddenly as he drove past the treeline. The forest’s creepy darkness seemed to vanish as they drove in around 1200ft, no longer having a creepy atmosphere and instead opening up to show a beautifully forested paradise of lakes, rivers, and all manners of Dinosaur, Pterosaur, and other species living peacefully in the area, One of the kids made note that the forestation, while still incredibly packed, didn’t match the way it looked on the map, as if it was meant to be hidden, and this gave Cruiser hope as he kept driving carefully through the area, looking for any sign that Demon might be here. After a few hours of looking around the massive forest, they stumbled upon a huge mansion, approaching the gates where an anthro Spinosaur and a Human stopped them, asking about their business being here. Cruiser explained the situation, getting the human’s attention before asking the Spino to open the gates.
Cruiser carefully drove into the mansion grounds, letting his family get out to rest while the human, whose name he learned was Josh, led him to the garage where Josh and another human named Neo activated a lifting platform that took him and the 2 humans down to the basement into a lab. Once they arrived, they got to studying him, finding out that the slime had absorbed into his base DNA, twisting and modifying it so he could have a seemingly endless gut and internal vehicle storage. Neo was exceptionally perplexed by this, as hammerspace like this seemed impossible for Autosaurs, but as he listened to Cruiser’s story and what had happened the night he chose to search for Demon, the impossible started to seem possible. As they studied, they learned that Cruiser could change the size of the interior from normal size to upwards of 7-10 times that size, and he could even customize how it looked, although the limits of said customizability they would have to learn with due time. Cruiser then asked them both something they had not expected. He asked if his family could live in this forest. Wishing they could have somewhere safe, as over the past few years they had some close calls with small Hunter groups, and Josh, understanding his concerns, told Cruiser they could. Then he and Neo radioed some Constructosaurs and Utilisaurs from the sanctuary, asking them to find a good place not too far from the mansion to build a 2-3 story house for Cruiser and his family, bringing a smile to his face as he hugged Josh knowing his family could now be somewhere protected and safe.
