A pair of my good friends, 
kandyfosky and 
fluffydemon666 recently had to find a temporary home for their wonderful German Shepherd, Correy, while they look into finding a place to live outside of town.
Rather then see him go to a shelter or (horror-of-horrors) the pound, I volunteered to take care of him.
Early on, I was still slightly unsure whether or not I made the right decision, but I don't have any doubts now. Correy is a wonderful, wonderful dog, and I couldn't ask for a better pet/playmate/companion. And while I know there will be some heartache when he goes back to his real family, I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be able to take care of such a lovable creature.
This photo is also the first from my new Canon EOS RebelG 35mm camera (which I picked up at a garage sale for $12! ).
