After the Pokemon Era, I needed to fill that hole where the community used to be, and being a life-long book-with-dragon-cover enthusiast, I dipped my toes into Wings of Fire. I devoured the first arc in a couple weeks and I was hooked. I really started to be exposed to the dragon side of the furry fandom for better or for worse.

Seeing so many dragon OCs I wanted to make my own but really didn't know a single thing about character design. A Furret with a mystery dungeon bandana wasn't exactly revolutionary. So to get the juices flowing I popped open a base I had seen around dozens of times by Showtronic and I just started colouring. Some designs are definitely more original than others given the range of expression within the tribe, but it was enough to get me started.
