Personality: Not much is known about the ruler of the Kingdom of Vermilia, not even her real name, but the few who had the chance of having an encounter ended up terrified by her. The Crimson Queen showed an unnatural quietude to her subjects, imperturbable even in the lowest moments, her jet black lips always curved in a twisted and evil smile.
A smile that never goes away, present there even at the funeral of her husband, the former king of Struudal, with her not showing a single trace of sadness, or any other emotion actually: noone knows what feelings might be hidden behind the seal of her lips, mysterious as her eyes, always covered and that noone has ever lived to tell about.
What the people knows, however, can be seen by the acts of the monarch of Vermilia: as she's said to be a very powerful witch, the Crimson Queen has turned the economy of the country around magic, particularly in hexes and curses, that are largely utilised in the Land of Mineria under her domain; the use of dark arts is condoned and incentivized in her confines, and any villain or criminal is welcome, as long as they don't try to attack her. Being surrounded in darkness is something the queen seems to be fond of, until that same darkness doesn't go against her.
With whoever goes against her wishes, she can be cruel as the devil himself: the Crimson Queen is very fond of using her magic to make the life of her enemies miserable, torturing them in any shape of form available, to the point of making them regret ever living, and seemingly finding pleasure in doing so to her victims.
She's a tyrant, ruling over with iron fist and punishing heavily anyone who doesn't agree with her wishes and with her laws, in particular her step-daughter: Lumi Friedlinde, also known as Snow White, the former princess of the Kingdom of Struudal.
The mysterious woman shows a single emotion towards the young princess: hate. The subjects of Vermilia don't know why, but their queen accused her of being a criminal and started a hunt with Lumi as the target, to have the girl brought to her alive, as, as the peasants speculate, their ruler wants to punish personally the young princess for whatever crime she committed.
Fear is the predominant feeling around the Crimson Queen, terror of her sole being, and of failing or defying her as that would lead to the most tragic and painful demise... a fate worse than death, as the queen promises to befall onto who opposes her.

Abilities: The Crimson Queen is a powerful sorceress, able to use an almost infinite set of spells: from sleeping curses, to torture hexes, going trough mind manipulation and bewitchment of others; with ancient dark magic in her grasp, conjurations so old that the counterspells are long forgotten, she's able to control the lifes of almost anyone... almost being the key to all.
Her step-daughter, Lumi, thanks to her pure soul is immune to any kind of curse the Crimson Queen can cast by herself, forcing so the sorceress to use potions and poisons to get to her, in order to obtain what she wants.
Being a demon the ruler of Vermilia is able to consume the souls of living beings, trapping them inside of her and denying them of the afterlife, turning the spirits of her victims into fuel for her own existence and magic.
A fatal flaw, anyway, is the weak point of the mysterious woman: the sunlight, because of her demonic nature, burns her pale skin like fire, and could consume and destroy her if not prevented; and because of this the queen is rarely seen by her subjects, always hidden in the darkness of her castle.
Exactly for this reason, for this weakness of hers, she seeks the pure soul of Lumi: devouring her would grant her the strenght to overcome her weak spot, trough the limitless power such a powerful spirit would grant to the demon able to take that dor themselves.
