I'm currently using a Canon 5D II, but what's really important here is the lighting, I'm augmenting the sun with two beefy strobes (at fairly low power, but with efficient reflectors) so even the shadows are lit and detailed. It's a pretty nice camera, but the lights are SICK. You could probably get an image similar to this with any digital camera with manual controls and a hot shoe, or even without a hot shoe, with the proper lighting.
And I did a little bit of post-processing in Lightroom.

I used my flare-master 24-105mm F4 L. It's such a useful zoom range and generally decent image quality, but it does have a tendency to flare in the most unattractive ways at the slightest provocation. Since this was shot at 105mm, I should have used my 100mm macro, which controls flare a lot more nicely, but I was relying on that zooming for a variety of shots 'cause I'm lazy.
