A fighter classed spaceship zooms into the wreck of a larger spaceship to try to escape the searching light beam of another fighter.
I was just mucking about in Open Canvas 4 really. I wanted to work on lighting and shading in the program.
I was listening to Linkin Park's Crawling and Yes's Homeworld (the song from the Homeworld credits) on YouTube while I drew this.

I pretty much made up the spaceship as I went along, which is a lot harder to get looking right than a design I've already drawn in several angles. The important thing to remember about creating perspective views is the use of guide lines that radiate out from one point on the image. In this one I used two - one for the spacecraft in the foreground (the one in the background is just a flat drawing), and another one for the wreck.
