Neck feels a little weird. Bit too long and human-like. Also could use a bit more color variation and blending. Mostly relied on two or so tones for each thing here. Experimented a bit with shadows, which you can see with his ear, as well as the shadow cast by his sleeve over his side. Those, I feel pretty satisfied with, but for the rest, I'd prefer to use less estimation and guesswork. It'll come with practice and study, I suppose.
As for the head, a marked improvement over Serenoa WOLFfort. Think I'm starting to determine the right balance between adhering to real-life animal biology and stylization that comes with anthropomorphism. Still dunno what my signature art style is gonna be, but this pencil-to-paper, painterly style with charcoal and watercolors feels pretty friendly to my current abilities.
Anyway, the up next for this official art study series is Benedict Pascal. Maybe I'll end up doing the rest of the War Council or maybe I'll move on to my 5 favourite characters in poses that differ from their official art. Depends on if I still feel like I need to study more.
