Daniel Allen always found himself more at home by himself among his computers, books, and things that weren't other people. He always told himself it was okay to be an introvert but every time he would have to speak to someone his anxiety would spiral out of control. So he decided shut himself away from the world, saving money from freelance IT jobs to buy a cabin in the woods.

Life had other ideas though when he was offered a job with pay he couldn't refuse, enough money that a few years work could set him for life. Though that meant interacting with others on a daily basis. Daniel took the job with the band Going Nowhere Fast as their technical support, managing to hide his debilitating social anxiety for a while. As it turns out he couldn't hide his anxiety from someone who's career saw all variety of illnesses, physical and mental.

Lily had noticed Daniel's withdrawal and went to him, offering her support. He reluctantly accepted after having one of his worst episodes yet just from speaking to her. As time passed the two grew close and, to Daniel's great surprise, began a relationship. Today he's happier than he's ever been and can go outside without freezing up. Plus it helps that Lily is absolutely smitten with him, for reasons unknown to him but he's not complaining.
