What started as an homage to one of my favorite Final Fantasy 6 characters ended up kind of looking like a Sonic OC...
But that's okay, he came out kinda cute. FF6 is one of my very favorite games, and as I've grown older I've come to appreciate Cyan more and more. He has an interesting arc, with themes of loss and vengeance giving way to acceptance and moving on.
I also think he strikes a really neat balance between the calm, disciplined soldier who can also be a total flustered spaz who laugh heartily during his Sword Tech attacks. He's neither super serious nor a total goofball, but a fun balance between them... and in that way, he kind of feels like the 'glue' between happy-go-lucky Sabin and cool-as-a-cucumber Shadow during that part of the game.
Anyway may or may not draw a more serious version of this guy in the future. I don't love drawing armor so he might be wearing less...
