Runecs are an alien race of cat-shaped people, much like Alternarians they are mostly made up of magic and have no organs, they live in a huge sprawling city with towering skyscrapers and roads and highways that wind around them above and below, this city takes up most of the planet they live on.
They use a form of cloning technology with a bit of magic, to produce more of themselves.

Runecs are magical creatures so I imagine their existence draws magic energy from the world around them maybe?
With Alternarians though their existence is linked directly to the stars, as long as a star lives, the Alternarian linked to that star lives, perhaps they're like the mortal projection of a star.

They do! And black holes too. my universe has more color variants of stars to correlate with the variety of hair colors Alternarians have, there's green and purple stars too.
