Yes, SilkyFangs is really good with that sort of ethereal watercolour look. Works well when going for a vaguely divine image, and part of why I have a folder of images from him and his partner.
As for unicorns, well, as I've noted before, I have three strong-willed female unicorn characters that I have art of (and a couple I don't have art of yet) and all of them are pretty much 'love interest of main character' rather than 'main character' in the stories in my head... that probably says something about me.
