Back when I was more actively drawing MLP I drew my stallion, Sol Bright a fair bit. He originally was with Maud Pie yet as a loyal love supporter it is canon she's with Mudbriar regardless so they separated. Didn't draw much of them at the time. Instead, moved onto Yona the Yak. One of my faves from the Young Six. I made sure to keep them as friends during her younger age. There is art of her as an adult where they do more mature, and/or sweet acts. Funnily enough she also ended up with a romance interest. I had a bit of a coincidental curse back then.
I probably won't draw much new stuff of them, mainly due to my partner working on their own fan character Sol Bright will be with.
Story: Since Maud found her dream stallion, Sol Bright hasn't been with another in a little while. One day while walking through Ponyville Sol is busy thinking about what he can do to bring some cheer. When he sees a group of older kids (of various species). Busy talking while laughing from time to time, before Sol knows it one of them stampedes over to him knocking him over. What appears to be a young female yak from Yakyakistan. He gets back up, while the yak reluctantly apologizes.
Sol says smiling, "Oh, its no problem. You're not the biggest thing to run into me. Haha."
Sol notices the yak is staring with big eyes at him. Sol blushes a little saying, "You're making me nervous with all that staring. What may your name be?"
Instead of stopping or retreating Yona then leaps forward hugging Sol, pressing her face against his face and neck. Yona yells, "White pony fur like snow! Yona like snow!" Startled and a little embarrassed Sol replies, " Oh! It's nice to meet you Yona." Snickers and giggling heard from Yona's friends nearby. Yona than lets go of Sol asking, "What is white pony's name?" Sol Bright answers warmly, "My name, well it's Sol Bright." "Thanks!" Yona yells as she walks away to be with her friends. Silverstream giddily says, "Oh, oh does Yona like a pony! Hehe!" "No! Sol fur like snow, and Yona like snow!" Yona answers boldly.
Gallus says grinning, "Sure, sure Yona. That's why you ran up to that older stallion." Glancing at Sandbar chuckling to each other.
Smolder says in disbelief, "Well I think it's strange you did that to a, well, a stranger. But whatever."
"We have homework, so I think we should get to it," Ocellus reminds her friends. Gallus casually replies, "Fine, fine, let's get to it then." The six then walk away.
Sol standing there taking in what just happened to him, and saying that it is definitely a good day now.
