A small flock of geese.
Copics on big (3x2 foot) flowchart paper. Pleasantly surprised by how agreeable this paper behaved - it took the colors really well, and let us layer/blend them without bleeding (to the side, or even through to the next sheet). Also: loving marker-shading with the Copics. Not only does it allow us to skip inking (as we did here) - it makes the whole process go much faster, and lets me experiment with all kinds of texures/blending.
Mad props to
indigoangelcat, who furnished the Copics, refined the rough sketch, and split the coloring work with me. (I colored the lead three; she colored the back two; and we split the work on the one with half-furled wings - I took the front half, wings, and belly; she colored the tail and did the detail work on the inner wing and topwing second/tertiary feathers.) Teamwork is awesome! And it gets the work done on time, too! :D
Done for the summer children's camp/workshop hosted by the hospice my mother volunteers at. (Also, Copic practice, 'cuz we're trying to get a good handle on them before convention season.)
